Calabria is a region of southern Italy where food is still closely tied to family, tradition, and the land.
It's a place of handmade pasta, seasonal ingredients, recipes passed down through generations, and meals that bring people together.
Calabria: The Cookbook brings those traditions to life through more than 50 authentic recipes, original photography, and stories from the kitchens, farms, and communities of Calabria.
Created by photographer and journalist Catarina Åström and Calabrian restaurateur Francesca Russo, the book grew from their friendship in Scalea, where Francesca's family has spent decades preserving the region's cooking traditions through La Rondinella.
The recipes, writing, and photography are complete. Now we're preparing this full-color hardcover for publication, and Kickstarter will help us bring it into print.
